Weekly volunteering

Solidarity is one of the core values of our school ethos, which is based on Christian humanism. As part of Aude, we have undertaken a solidarity project in conjunction with Àuria Fundació in Les Comes, Igualada. The groups of boys who take part are volunteers between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. They help out in three areas: the dining hall, the workshop and the allotment, which is located on the top floor of the building.

Every Wednesday they go there for an hour, and then return to Mestral to carry on with their schoolwork. 

The most rewarding aspect, after having attended for two years, has been the kindness and the smiles shown by those with special needs and also the commitment shown by the pupils of Mestral.
