Joan Pinol visits our Readers' Club

Last March 15th, Joan Pinyol came to our Club to talk about his work Pilota de set, Joaquim Ruyra's winner novel in 2007.

Joan, who was pupil for ten years in the school and catalan teacher for a year, talked about the birth of the story, about the complex structure, about the number seven (set), that is present in every corner of the writing, and about the little stories inside the book that come from personal experiences (one of them, even, from his time in Mestral school).

Lately, we all talked about the characters, his narrative style and the word games between the headings of the chapters and its meaning.

We thank Joan Pinyol very much his visit to the Club as well as all the secrets hidden behind his pages.
