The Godfather readers of the Higher Cycle

The students of the Primary Cycle of the elementary school (5th and 6th), in the framework of the project of competence in the linguistic field and in the formative project of the school, carry out the reading sponsors.

The “Godparents readers” project was born when we saw the need for senior students to do responsibility and support activities applied in the day to day of the school, since they are the greats of the stage. The activity consists in making an aid to the reading of the students of P5 and the students of 1st grade. So, once a week, the boys and girls of 5th grade go to P5 to teach them to read, explain stories, make them language games ... all under the supervision of the tutors and the tutors of the courses who, previously, have done an awareness job in the classroom. In the same way, the students of 6th grade move up to 1st grade of primary school where, apart from helping children to read, they also teach them how to use laptops correctly.

Apart from this more academic section, the project “Godparents readers” allows the elementary school grandchildren to acquire responsibilities towards the students of courses lower than their own and that these, at the same time, gain confidence, while helping them grow as whole people .
